Enneacraft: A New Archetype in Yu-Gi-Oh! Phantom Revengers 2025
Enneacraft is a striking archetype introduced in Yu-Gi-Oh! Phantom Revengers (2025). It belongs to the Machine/Pendulum category and revolves around flipping, control, and counter-driven mechanics.
At the core of this archetype lies the Synquisition Counter, gained whenever a monster is flipped face-up. These counters fuel a web of card effects, enabling incremental damage, clever resource management, and unique synergy with Pendulum Zones.
The deck balances powerful Level 9 boss monsters, brimming with impactful effects, alongside Level 1 support monsters that act as engines. Together, they establish a layered playstyle blending setup, disruption, and unrelenting pressure.
Enneacraft Lore and Design
Enneacraft draws inspiration from the Enneagram, a model describing nine interconnected personality types: Reformer, Helper, Archivist, Individualist, Investigator, Skeptic, Enthusiast, Challenger, and Peacemaker.
The archetype splits into two design groups:
- LIGHT Machine Level 9 monsters – towering robotic beasts with immense presence.
- EARTH Machine Level 1 monsters – colourful, double-pyramid constructs that mirror their larger LIGHT counterparts.
Each Level 9 shares its name as an anagram of its Level 1 partner, reinforcing their mirrored relationship. All cards carry a Pendulum Scale of 0, preventing the simple Pendulum Summon.
Quick Summary:
Archetype: Enneacraft (Yu-Gi-Oh!)
Playstyle: Flip/Pendulum hybrid focused on face-down summoning, incremental advantage through search/draw, and burn damage via Sinquisition Counters.
Strengths: Unique synergy between Pendulum and Flip mechanics. Consistent searching and recycling (Release, Rebirth, tromarIA). Versatile toolbox — can draw, flip for disruption, or recycle Extra Deck monsters. Burn win condition through Enneapolis adds inevitability.
Weaknesses: Slow setup — relies on face-down plays and waiting for flips. Dependent on Pendulum Monsters for most of its recursion. Limited offensive pressure; win condition often relies on chip damage + control. Vulnerable to mass removal or fast combo decks.
Best Use: A grind-focused control strategy that thrives in drawn-out duels by looping Pendulum monsters, disrupting Special Summons, and stacking Sinquisition Counters to burn opponents out.

How to Play Enneacraft: Decklist, Flip & Control
Overview: Theme & Core Mechanics
Enneacraft blends Flip Monsters and Pendulum Monsters, weaving them together with a unique counter system. Its defining hallmark is the Synquisition Counter, earned whenever a monster flips face-up.
Unlike most archetypes, Enneacraft pushes the mechanic further, tying its counters directly into the Pendulum Zones
Key Mechanics
Sinquisition Counter: All Enneacraft Monster cards, in Pendulum Zone, gain 1 Sinquisition Counter each time a monster is flipped face-up.
Free Summons: Special Summon, face-down, any Enneacraft by revealing any other Enneacraft in your hand.
Trap Monsters: Enneacraft works like Trap cards, they flip up when your opponent plays.
Enneacraft Decklist
To build an Enneacraft deck, it’s best to divide the structure by levels. The archetype features four Level 1 monsters and four Level 9 monsters.
The Level 1 cards act as vital support engines. Because of their utility, running three copies of each is highly recommended to ensure consistency and speed.
Traditionally, duelists avoid overloading on high-level monsters. However, Enneacraft breaks this convention. Since the Level 9 monsters can be Summoned face-down with ease, there’s no drawback in including three copies of each. This approach guarantees constant access to powerful threats while maintaining synergy with Flip mechanics.
The Spell cards of the archetype deserve equal attention. All three are exceptional, and there’s little reason not to maximise each copy. Doing so accelerates counter generation and improves deck flow.
The Spell cards of the archetype deserve equal attention. All three are exceptional, and there’s little reason not to maximise each copy. Doing so accelerates counter generation and improves deck flow.
This setup ensures duelists always keep an Enneacraft card in hand, ready to stack Synquisition Counters quickly. It also supports defensive plays, leaving monsters face-down during the opponent’s turn.
Certain external cards strengthen the strategy further. Book of Eclipse thrives here, flipping monsters en masse while feeding the counter system. Similarly, Machina Metalcruncher synergises with the EARTH Machine theme, while Spirit of the Fall Wind enhances Flip consistency. Another dimension worth exploring is Extra Deck potential. Enneacraft naturally enables both Rank 9 XYZ monsters like the recent K9-X “Werewolf”, and Rank 1 XYZ monsters such as Lyrilusc.
Wrapping Up
In short, Enneacraft offers both style and substance. Unlike many themes, it balances powerful Level 9 bosses with resourceful Level 1 engines, ensuring duelists have reliable plays. Moreover, the archetype’s strong symbolic design and unique gameplay loop make it appealing.
